What Is It?

Application that gives airline staff access to specific apps needed for managing a plane while on a tarmac.

Client Problem to Solve

Airline staff needed a way to access multiple apps quickly, along with customization to only have applications they needed on tablets and smartphones.

Limitations

Sales-based intel and was positioned as a demo or concept. Sales did have several conversations with pilots and flight attendants, but by the time the project arrived, I had limited data and was unable to chat with the users.

Up, up, and away

Story

Airline staff members had been given explicit access to special applications used to make request prior to take off from an airport tarmac. The issue was that many of the apps given were located under different URLs and networks. This would cause the flight delays when staff needed to access specific apps to manage the plane before takeoff.

Since the airline was unable to rebuild and consolidate apps from the ground up under a central theme and network, the next best thing was to give the staff quick access to the apps they needed and give them control of which apps they wanted to view. Some of these permissions were also meant to be controlled via roles by an admin.
